The EURES network and its Bulgarian representatives are involved in the European Labour Authority's seasonal work campaign

pic новинаToday, the EURES network launches an information and communication campaign on seasonal work, coordinated at European level by the European Labour Authority (ELA). The starting initiative is one of the three strands of ELA's wider campaign on seasonal work "Rights for all seasons", in which recently the Employment Agency in Bulgaria took part. EURES Bulgaria is also getting involved in the relevant strand of the campaign, which will last from July to October 2021. The aim will be to raise awareness among jobseekers and employers of their rights, obligations and opportunities and to support fair recruitment in Europe.

The EURES support services are also expected to be promoted so that all countries can benefit fairly from seasonal work. The focus will be on recruitment in key sectors such as agri-food, tourism, hospitality and construction. It will rely on the large scope of the EURES network, which offers its services in 31 countries and is thus supporting the free movement of workers for more than 25 years.

During the campaign, EURES will post on social media using the hashtags #Rights4AllSeasons, #EURESeasonalWorks and #EURESjobs. The campaign will culminate during the Week of Action, involving activities in Europe from 20 to 24 September.

The Employment Agency in Bulgaria has already joined as a leading partner for Bulgaria in the main strand of the pan-European campaign of ELA for raising awareness among cross-border seasonal workers "Rights for all seasons", announced on June 15. In addition to information materials on labour rights abroad, the Employment Agency plans to participate in the campaign with a series of information events across the country in September. These meetings will bring together seasonal jobseekers looking for job in the EU with experts from the Employment Agency, the General Labour Inspectorate and other interested institutions, who will answer specific questions and provide detailed information on the employment and social security rights of employees in the countries from the EU.
